Laura Pedigo has been named Assistant Professor in Psychology at California Baptist University – Online and Professional Studies.
Laura began her education at University of Wisconsin, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2001. In 2004, she earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Biola University. Continuing her education at Biola, Pedigo received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2007. Her doctoral study and research focused on the cognitive aspects of pregnancy, the phenomenon of embodiment, and the changes in self-identity women experience via pregnancy.
Dr. Pedigo has experience in teaching several classes in the field of Psychology at Biola University, including: Cognitive Assessment, Lifespan Development, Abnormal Psychology and more. She also served as a committee member for PsyD Candidates’ doctoral papers at Biola. Along with teaching Pedigo has been invited to present topics including: The Interactive Components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Depression and Anxiety, Conducting Clinical Intakes within a Cognitive-Behavioral Model and more.
Pedigo also has a California Psychology License, and has practical experience in the field of Psychology as she has worked as a Clinical Psychologist & Evidence-Based Practice Coordinator at the Biola Counseling Center, APA-Accredited Clinical Internship at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center, Supervised Clinical Clerkship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and Supervised Clinical Practica at the East Whittier School District. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association.
