CBU/online announces a new educational partnership for Christian Ministries between The Grove Community Church, Cross Word Church and California Baptist University

The Christian Ministries program at California Baptist University is designed for the working adult considering a career in ministry, preparation for future advanced seminary studies, or the lay person who wants to expand their biblical knowledge to make a stronger impact on their ministries.

A distinguishing feature of the B.A. in Christian Ministries program within the OPS division of CBU is its focus on meeting the needs of the “new normal” generation of students seeking knowledge and training—non-traditional students who want to obtain a strong theological foundation, while balancing work and family without having to put life on hold.

The classes within the OPS B.A. program are offered in one of two formats—hybrid format involving face-to-face interactions on the main campus, or at one of our educational service centers, coupled with a significant online enhancement, and an online format that allows students to work at their own pace—utilizing a convenient, accelerated schedule with the most current technology to support live interactions between students and faculty. The new partnership with The Grove and Cross Word Christian Church allows students to have the opportunity to take classes at the church facilities.

CBU/online’s B.A. in Christian Ministries degree-completion program provides students with the foundational building blocks to better understand biblical-based theology and its positive life-changing impact on people of all walks of life. Courses include a broad range of theological education, from the history of the Bible and Christianity to today’s most current and relevant spiritual issues. Students emerge from the program with a deeper general knowledge of the Bible, as well as skill in using interpretive tools to illuminate biblical texts for themselves. This Educational Partnership opportunity between The Grove Community Church, Cross Word Christian Church and CBU allows the program to be delivered not only to church staff, but to church members as well.  The program is set to launch at the end of the month.
