OPS Information Technology (OPS IT) delivers solutions to the CBU community that facilitate teaching and learning. We offer technical leadership, training and other services with a commitment to excellence. We are focused on delivering exceptional customer service and creating a reliable infrastructure that demonstrates value to students, faculty and staff at California Baptist University.
Vision
"Our vision is to work towards providing seamless access to information, resources, and services that will enhance and support the learning experience through the use of innovative technology. To accomplish this, we are utilizing a technology convergence model to build new infrastructures that will help create environments and conditions that allows for the cultivation of creative and innovative ideas from students, faculty, and staff utilizing technology."

Deactivation of Spark / iChat - May 7, 2013
The Spark and iChat instant messaging programs are being replaced with new messaging programs called Cisco WebEx Connect (for PC) and Cisco Jabber (for Mac).Cisco WebEx Connect and Cisco Jabber both allow for instant messaging, desktop sharing and more. The programs are also integrated with Microsoft Outlook.
The Spark and iChat instant messaging services will be disabled on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

Cisco Case Study
In May of 2011, Cisco Systems published a prominent case study entitled “Pervasive Video Extends University’s High-Touch Culture.” Online & Professional Studies IT division was recognized for its visionary approach to leveraging video technologies to enhance learning and engagement between faculty and students in an online environment.
