Designed for Working Professionals
The accounting courses give individuals the opportunity to take accelerated college courses online and graduate in as little as 24 months. With classes offered in three different formats - online, hybrid, or in-person - students are given the opportunity to complete their coursework around their own schedule.
The Value of the CBU Degree
The BSA is designed to take students through a journey that embraces personal, professional, and spiritual transformation. Students graduating from the BSA program will be equipped to ethically address complex accounting issues in a dynamic business environment. In addition, students will leave the program with the capacity to self-reflect, think critically, lead and engage others, and make effective decisions.
Online and Professional Studies is designed to respond to the needs of the "new normal" generation of students - the non-traditional student that balances professional and family responsibilities while advancing their education. With individual advisors who assist students throughout their time completing the accounting degree-completion program, students are able to focus on what is important and avoid any confusion.
Professors with Real-World Experience
Those who are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting online at CBU will learn accounting from faculty who have real-world experience in professional accounting. CBU's degree in accounting is taught by professors who have knowledge in the world of accounting that goes beyond what is taught in school. Mentors as well as instructors, BSA professors work closely with students from the first day of class through graduation. Expect your professors to challenge you, inspire you, and, most importantly, support your success.

- The one-year growth in accounting position hires from 2011 to 2012 is expected to be 8.5%
Independently, the BLS Job Outlook also reported the significant and growing opportunities available in the accounting profession:
- Employment of accountants and auditors is expected to grow by 22% between 2008 and 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations
-
Job growth will be driven by
- An increase in the number of businesses
- The change to financial laws and corporate governance regulations
- An increase in corporate accountability for protecting an organization's stakeholders
