What is RN to BSN?
As Registered Nurses, the next step is to get a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or (BSN). Nursing is a career primarily for people who have leadership potential, clinical competency, a strong commitment to nursing and academic ability. Students earning their Bachelor of Science in Nursing online from CBU are able to go on to pursue careers in nursing where they will be well-prepared and valued for their skills in critical thinking, case management, health promotion and for their ability to practice across a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.
The theoretical foundation that the nursing program teaches is the "human becoming" theory. This theory adopts quality of life from each person's own perspectives as the goal of nursing practice.
Finish What You Started
CBU Online RN to B.S. in Nursing is a high quality, fully accredited, nurse-friendly program that is designed specifically for working professionals who wish to go on and finish what they started. An accelerated degree program which can be completed in as little as 18 months, the B.S. in Nursing is designed with working professionals in mind. Classes are offered in rotational format one night per week. With courses offered online or in a blended (hybrid) format, students have the opportunity to complete coursework around their own schedules.
Professors with Working Knowledge
As a student in CBU's accredited RN to BSN degree-completion program, students will experience simulation labs that allow for live experience. The simulation labs resemble hospital settings with hospital beds and patients (mannequins) that speak and talk as they would in the field. CBU's faculty consists of quality professors who have experience in both the practical and academic sides of nursing. The professors work with students closely, giving them the practical knowledge that, when utilized elsewhere, allows them to be successful once they graduate.
Purposeful Education
In keeping with CBU's Christian-based mission, the RN to B.S. in Nursing distance learning degree program integrates faith into coursework as it applies to developing nursing professionals with strong leadership and critical thinking, who are prepared to find and fulfill their purpose -- professionally as well as personally.
