Looking to finish or continue your education in a flexible and convenient way? California Baptist University's Online and Professional Studies (OPS) is a great way to complete your education and resurrect the dream, which allows you to balance your work, home and school schedules.

What is a psychology degree?

The Psychology major prepares graduates for employment in human and social service careers, and for graduate study in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, and Anthropology. Students emerge from the psychology bachelor's degree online program equipped with important skills including the ability to assess client needs, keep thorough and accurate records, and express care and empathy in order to act as an advocate for clients. Students will learn basic behavioral science principles, general psychology principles, the theories of different areas of psychology, as well as critical thinking skills and their practical applications.

With classes emphasizing Abnormal Psychology, Counseling Psychology and Theories of Personality, students will have the ability to explore many areas of psychology.

What jobs can you get with a psychology degree?

With a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, students have the option of going on to graduate school to obtain a Masters and Doctorate in Psychology, or obtain entry-level psychology jobs. These positions include Case Management, Career Counselor, Rehabilitation Specialist, and Psychiatric Technician.

For students who want to continue on in their education in psychology, CBU's Online and Professional Studies program now offers a Masters in Counseling Psychology degree. The Masters in Counseling Psychology will equip graduate students with the knowledge needed to enter the professional field of marriage and family therapy, or professional clinical counseling with the integration of spiritual and psychological theories in order to best fit their client's needs.
