General Education Requirements and Transfer Student Information

General Education Requirements for Undergraduate Students

Established for the specific purpose of serving the needs of adults and non-traditional students seeking higher education, our general education requirements meet you where you are. CBU Online’s general education for bachelor’s degree programs is designed to be transfer-friendly, allowing a wide range of coursework from community colleges or other universities to apply to degree requirements. CBU Online develops degree programs in fully-online and hybrid formats. All programs incorporate a Christian perspective, and a year-round semester system speeds students towards graduation. The Online and Professional Studies faculty recommends students complete at least 49 units of study (preferably the types of courses required for general education) before entering upper division major courses. Students are required to complete at least 30 units, including 6 of English composition (ENG 113, ENG 123) before starting the major. CBU Online programs are built to prepare you for success in your chosen and future career and help you live your purpose.
