Overview

Commit to a career in human movement and fitness

The online Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree program positions students for career entry and mobility in the arenas of fitness, athletic training, teaching, coaching, and allied health-related fields. This well-rounded degree serves as a solid educational foundation for those students planning to pursue an immediate hands-on career dedicated to human health and wellness, or further pursue graduate work in related fields, including teaching credentials, a graduate program in Kinesiology, athletic training or other areas of advanced study.

Become a professional in sports medicine, fitness, athletic training or nutrition and wellness.  The online bachelor degree in Kinesiology program covers a breadth of knowledge that prepares students to pursue their professional goals. Blending physical education and exercise science courses, the program’s academically rigorous curriculum uniquely positions students to become educators while providing a solid foundation for graduate studies.* Faculty is comprised of public school teachers, recreation and athletic directors, and other working professionals who bring relevant experience directly from the field into the classroom.  Each Kinesiology faculty member is passionate about helping people maximize their physical health and overall wellness, and it is our goal to produce students who share this passion.

The online Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree program is designed to take students through a journey that embraces personal, professional, and spiritual transformation. Students graduating from the program will be equipped to address issues in a global context, with the ethical standards of a Christian heritage. In addition, students will leave the program with the capacity to self-reflect, think critically, lead and engage others, and make effective decisions.

  2. Effectively and responsibly communicate relevant information to demographically varied populations.
  3. Describe and apply the functions of the human body as they relate to human performance, exercise, activity, and physical development.
  4. Describe functions of the human body and implement appropriate interventions as they relate to issues of health and wellness.
  5. Conduct research and evaluation related to public health, and will be able to identify the proper avenues for professional development, personal development, and career advancement.
  6. Describe, design, and demonstrate appropriate methods of teaching and application of kinesiology-related skills.
  7. Integrate faith, values, and ethics in the practical application of Kinesiology.
