Sarah Robblee appointed Lecturer of Communication Studies, CBU Online

Sarah Robblee has been named Lecturer of Communication Studies at California Baptist University – Online and Professional Studies, effective April 2012.

Mrs. Robblee worked for California Polytechnic University, Pomona teaching courses such as First Year English I and II, as well as at Chapman University teaching courses such as Writing for Technology and Commerce. Robblee has practical experience that will be beneficial to those in her Public Relations courses. Having worked for a PR firm in Washington, D.C., and independently for a Southern California home school organization, she draws on those experiences when teaching COM300 and other courses in the communication studies program.

Mrs. Robblee received her B.A. degree in English from Gordon College, and an M.A. in Rhetoric, Composition and World Literature from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. She is currently working toward her professional doctorate at Texas Tech University.  Her doctoral study and research focuses on ethics in Communication and code of conduct analysis. She is also interested in looking at how to promote empowerment and independent learning in online environments by looking at how students' identities and ideas of academic discourse affect their engagement and learning.
